RitaNIVENNIVEN Peacefully at Cross-house Hospital on 29th September 2008, Rita Niven, aged 80. Beloved wife of the late[L} Wullie, mother of Alistair and the late Billy. Funeral service on Friday 3rd October 2008, at Portland Funeral Parlour, Union Street, Kilmarnock at 10.20 a.m. Interment thereafter at Riccarton Cemetery arriving at 11.00 a.m.

alistair was my best mate in the 60s and i lived with rita and wullie for a while she was like a second mother to me as my family were in australia i have fond memories of her and i am deeply saddened to see this i tried getting in touch a few times when i was home a holiday but to no avail im now in australia so if you read this id love to get in touch with alistair we had rare old times on the buses my email address is pam.jimbo@bigpond. com

Thoughts of a wondrful woman


Alistair, your mum was a great friend of my mum's (passed away July 6 2005) Nan Winter and I spent some fun times at your home with you in our crazy days as the Maltese Falcon and Aunt Sally. Many moons ago. I have very fond memories of your Mum and send youmy heartfelt sympathy today. Another Great Woman gone.
